TOP NOMINATION AT UDIA AWARDS FOR PAYCE PROJECTS

  • East Sydney:

The Landmark PAYCE development East Village has been nominated by industry experts for some of the most prestigious 2015 NSW Urban Taskforce Development of the Year Awards.

PAYCE Chairman Brian Boyd said it was a huge thrill for the company to be nominated for the award.

"This is some wonderful recognition for everyone who worked on a project which we are very proud of," said Mr Boyd.

The judges noted that the East Village project at Victoria Park, being just three kilometres from the CBD, was indeed, 'the standout winner'.

"East Village is a meticulously planned project which is the culmination of a vision from a carefully selected team that travelled the globe to gain inspiration from some of the world's most vibrant and exciting urban developments," Mr Boyd said.

"The Sutherland2Surf is firmly entrenched as one of the biggest and most popular community events in the Shire and we are thrilled to be part of this important fundraiser which benefits the surf club and a number of other worthy causes," he said.

"It was a great opportunity for us to develop the site and we consider East Village to be "one of a kind" in the Urban Marketplace. We are extremely satisfied with the result that has been achieved.

"The project fundamentally delivers not only an outstanding vision for this site, but enhances the broader Victoria Park precinct.

"It's not just a development, with the site's great location and transport links we have created a modern, convenient and enjoyable lifestyle," stated Mr Boyd.

The judges emphasised the benefits of East Village, being a truly unique offering with 206 low-rise apartments surrounding a private 6,500sqm Sky Park.

Residents are free to enjoy access to a globally inspired urban marketplace, eat street and culinary precinct consisting of world class cafés, restaurants, fresh food and boutique stores, along with a Virgin Active gym, Audi Service centre, commercial office suites and Montessori childcare Academy.

Dominic Sullivan accepting the award on behalf of PAYCE

After accepting the award last night, PAYCE General Manager Dominic Sullivan said the project team, pivotal in delivering East Village included: Turner Architects, Koichi Takada Interior Architects, Iconic Project Management and builder Dasco Australia.

"This world-class development team has delivered more than bricks and mortar; they have delivered a thriving, living community catering for cultural diversity in an integrated community of people, goods, services and retail outlets."

"This accolade acknowledges development projects that tick all the boxes, great residential living, but also a way of life that provides entertainment and services on the doorstep of every apartment in the precinct."

"We are also pleased to see there is already a great sense of community developing in the East Village community.

"We always wanted the opportunity to create a great village atmosphere and thanks to the hard work and professionalism of such an exemplary team of so many talented individuals, that is exactly what we have achieved with the East Village complex."
